The Center was invited to make a submission to the Joint Intermarriage Working Group of the Rabbinical Assembly and the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, which issued a report in December 2025.
Developments relating to interfaith family inclusion in the Conservative movement are chronicled on the Center’s website in the following blog posts: Shifts in the Conservative Movement (December 12, 2014); Three Voices from the Conservative Movement (April 13, 2015); More Conservative News and Debate, and June Round-up (June 11, 2017); The Intermarriage Debate Escalates (June 20, 2017); More Negative Conservative Officiation News (July 10, 2017); and The Conservative Officiation Debate Continues (August 14, 2017).
We were honored to publish a guest post by Rabbi Wes Gardenswartz in December 2019, arguing in favor or Conservative rabbis being allowed to officiate for interfaith couples: A Three-Generation Yes or a Three-Generation No?
Developments in the movement are also discussed in sections of an October 17, 2018 Blog post, a December 19, 2018 Blog post, and the Center’s monthly email newsletters for August 2023; September 2023; January 2024; February 2024; October 2024; November 2024; December 2024; February 2025; July 2025; August 2025; September 2025; and December 2025.
